I have exciting news to share!

As many of you are aware, Be Still and Know was birthed from a journal my mother kept the last year of her life. She briefly recorded what the Lord taught her each day from scripture. When my best friend from college, Jodi Jones Knauf was battling recurrent cancer, the Lord spurred me on to take my mother’s gleanings and write a devotional book to encourage Jodi in her battle. Jodi received the first copy when Be Still and Know was released in October 2014. Now, both my mother and Jodi are with the Lord, but their legacies live on as thousands have been touched because of their lives. In January 2020, Be Still and Know will be released in a journal format. Although the content will remain the same, after each daily devotional, space will be provided to jot down your thoughts or meditations.

Since Be Still and Know has been out for five years, the Lord nudged me to write a second devotional book. Peace in the Storms of Life will be released March 2020. Although it also is a daily devotional, there are only 125 entries. After each devotional, rather than a prayer, two or three questions are posed for you to ponder. This could lend itself very well to individual study or group discussion.

My website www.julierayburn.com has also been revamped. We are hoping that readers will go to it often to find encouragement and inspiration. A monthly blog will either feature excerpts from my devotional books or other inspirations the Lord has placed on my heart to share. So….stay tuned!

As we embark upon a new year, may our hearts be full of hope for what the Lord has in store. May we purpose to walk with Him each day so that regardless of life’s circumstances, we will experience the peace of God that passes all understanding.

Happy New Year!
